NJ Man Sues FanDuel A Bergen County man has filed a lawsuit against online sports betting website FanDuel alleging the company breached its own policy and failed to pay him his full winnings after he pulled out of an active bet. Michael Wadlow, 35, of Upper Saddle River (and soon Ramsey), filed the suit on Oct. 4 in New Jersey Superior Court alleging he self-excluded from a bet with a $5,800 cash-out option and was only refunded his inital $500 wager.  Wadlow says in self-excluding, he was relying on FanDuel's website, which says that "active and pending wagers will not be canceled" for anyone who self-ex…

Panera 'Charged Lemonade' Linked To Death Of UPenn Student From Jersey City Suit Settled More than two years after a UPenn student from New Jersey died, her family has settled their wrongful death suit against Panera. Sarah Katz, of Jersey City, died at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center on Sept. 10, 2022, according to her obituary.  The 21-year-old's death came shortly after she drank "Charged Lemonade" at the Panera located at 200 South 40th Street, in Philadelphia, according to the lawsuit filed on Monday, Oct. 23, 2023, by Kline & Specter, P.C. on behalf of Jill and Michael Katz. The two officers filed a civil suit on Friday, Aug. 9 against Sgt. Noel Santiago, accusing him of sexual harassment and other forms of creating a hostile workplace. The officers also claimed the police department didn't properly respond to their allegations against Santiago, who had a supervisory role over them. Lawsuit: Former Warren County Prosecutor Wants His Job Back James Pfeiffer, who abruptly retired as Warren County Prosecutor in April, has filed a lawsuit claiming he was unlawfully removed from the position.  The complaint, filed against New Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin and Gov. Phil Murphy in Superior Court of New Jersey, said he remains the duly appointed Prosecutor for Warren County and wants his job back. In April, Platkin took over the Warren County Prosecutor's Office, forcing out Pfeiffer amid a state ethics probe. Lisa Moyer, a member of the board of education in Allamuchy Township, violated several sections of the school ethics board, after her child was suspended for harassment, intimidation and bullying in 2022, the School Ethics Commission ruled.
