The National Weather Service has shifted its tornado watch across New Jersey and Pennsylvania as Hurricane Debby creeps in. In New Jersey, the tornado watch is in effect through 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9 and covers Bergen, Essex, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union and Warren counties in North Jersey. In Pennsylvania, the tornado watch is issued in Lehigh, Northampton, Carbon, Monroe, and Bucks counties. 29 Charged, $1.5 Million In Drugs Seized In Massive Berks County Raid: DA
Several dozen people face criminal charges and a purported $1.5 million in drugs have been seized as part of "Operation Knockout" in Berks County, according to District Attorney John T. Adams' Office. The operation targeted a "large-scale drug trafficking organization" based in and around Reading with alleged ties to "a Mexican cartel," said prosecutors. David's Bridal will send more than 9,000 workers home in an upcoming round of layoffs, according to a disclosure form it filed with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. Frank Nispel, 55, was found dead in his vehicle on Saturday afternoon, according to a release by the York County coroner's office.
