A fifth person has been arrested in the violent home invasion that killed a Cumberland County detective, authorities said.
Byron Thomas of Paulsboro was charged with two counts of first-degree murder among other offenses, the Cape May County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release on Tuesday, Nov. 5. Sgt. Two women have been arrested in connection with the shooting of an 11-year-old boy struck by a stray bullet on Saturday night, May 25 in Atlantic City, police said.
Yanirah Davis, 22, of Galloway, and Yontay Cooper, 33, of Egg Harbor, showed up to the 100 block of north Rhode Island Avenue with a hammer and a handgun to encounter a group that they had a prior altercation with, city police said.

Man, 30, Wounded In Atlantic City Shooting: Police
A 30-year-old man was wounded in a shooting in Atlantic City, authorities said.
On Thursday, Sept. 15, at 8:30 p.m., Atlantic City patrol officers responded to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue for a ShotSpotter alert.
Responding officers found a man that was shot and evidence of gunfire, police said.
The unidentified victim, of Atlantic City, was taken by ambulance to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, for treatment.

Eleven accused members of a drug ring that authorities said openly peddled crack and potentially fatal fentanyl in a Newark neighborhood were charged federally on Wednesday.
