19: Pennsylvania Health Officials Roll Out New Vaccine Phases Amid Statewide Delay
Pennsylvania health officials announced a clearer, multi-phase path toward statewide vaccine distribution Friday, in the midst of a statewide inoculation delay. "There is a delay of about 24 hours through the hospitals, and both through Walgreens and CVS, our partners in the long-term care mission by up to 72 hours," Pennsylvania Department of Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine said. NJ Officials Miss Vaccine Deadline For Nursing Homes
New Jersey nursing homes will have to wait another week for COVID-19 vaccines after state officials missed the deadline by just one day. Covid-
19 Vaccine
It's only a matter of weeks before several New Jersey hospitals receive an early shipment of the COVID-19 vaccine, state officials said. As part of Operation Warp Speed, the nearly half-dozen area hospitals will get the frozen shipments of the vaccine to keep in Arctic-level sub-zero freezers -- even before it's approved by the FDA. While no dates were given, New Jersey was "weeks away from the first doses of a vaccine being ready for distribution to our health care workers... and months away from a vaccine being readily available for public distribution," Gov. Phil Murphy said. …
