Toms River Man Charged In 91 MPH Crash That Killed Lakewood Driver: Prosecutor
A 23-year-old man from Toms River has been charged in connection with a crash at an estimated speed of 91 mph that killed a Lakewood motorist in March, authorities said. Alejandro Huerta-Arias was charged with vehicular homicide, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. The March 9 crash resulted in the death of Mark Mandel, 32, of Lakewood, he said. Motorcyclist Killed In 2-Bike Jersey Shore Crash
A motorcyclist died after he collided with another bike over the weekend on the Jersey Shore, authorities said. Paul Brinkman, 66, was traveling eastbound in a staggered formation behind a 57-year-old motorcyclist on Pasadena Road, when the 57-year-old motorcyclist tried to pull into the westbound shoulder of the road to help help a disabled motorcyclist around 2:15 p.m. Saturday, April 30, police in Manchester said. Family Of Girl Killed While Riding Bike In Bridgewater Sees Support
Support is surging for the family of an 11-year-old girl who was struck and killed by a 22-year-old woman in a pickup truck while biking with a friend in Bridgewater. Victoria Bastos was struck near 3rd Street on Fulton Street around 6:10 p.m. Saturday, April 2, according to local police and a GoFundMe launched for the girl's family. A driver was killed when their car crossed over the center lines and struck a tree, then went up in flames over the weekend in Somerset County, authorities said. Two school bus crashes happened on Thursday according to Parch, the fourth and fifth since mid-September.
