Police ID Motorcyclist Killed In Franklin Township Crash As 43-Year-Old Resident
Police said they have identified the man who was killed in a crash in Somerset County on the early morning of Saturday, June 1. At 12:17 a.m., police responded to a crash between a vehicle and a motorcycle on Easton Avenue near DeMott Lane, Franklin Township Public Safety Director Quovella M. Maeweather said. The motorcyclist, Darrell Montgomery, 43, was pronounced dead at the scene, Maeweather said. A 15-year-old girl is in critical condition after falling off her bike into the path of tow truck in Atlantic County last week, police said. The girl was hiding in the shoulder of Ocean Heights Avenue heading north, the same direction as the 2021 Ford tow truck next to her, when she lost her balance and fell off her bike around 4:50 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, Egg Harbor Police Chief Frederick Spano said.
