A tractor-trailer crashed into a utility pole in Monmouth County, shutting down a road for more than 12 hours, officials said. Crews responded to the crash on Broadway between Locust Avenue and Route 36 on Thursday, June 6, the West Long Branch Office of Emergency Management posted on Facebook at 4:09 p.m. No injuries were reported in the wreck. Toms River Garden State Parkway Crash Details
One person was airlifted in a crash on the Garden State Parkway in Ocean County on Sunday, May 19, authorities said. A Honda passenger car and Ford pickup truck were both heading south when the two collided near milepost 83.8 around 3:30 p.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. For seven hours, the man stood on the ledge of the I-295 overpass, closing Route 42 below in both directions on Thursday afternoon, April 4 near Exit 14. A vehicle that veered off of the Garden State Parkway in Toms River was hoisted back on the roadway on Wednesday, Jan. 3. A driver escaped serious injury when a box truck crashed early Friday on Route 17 in Paramus.
