One lucky Powerball lottery player in South Jersey won $100,000 in the Wednesday, Aug. 14 drawing. The winning numbers for Wednesday night's drawing were 8, 9, 23, 29, 62, and the Powerball is 13. UPDATE: A federal judge ordered the continued detention of a registered South Jersey sex offender who authorities said was caught trafficking a trio of children for sex, including a missing Pennsylvania youngster. Semaj A. Gilmore, 32, of Camden, has been in custody since April 2021. : Bergen Executive, Father Of Four ID'd As Train Death Victim
A married Haworth father of four was struck and killed by a freight train in Harrington Park late Sunday. Responders said the victim apparently walked the two miles or so to the spot 100 yards or so yards south of the LaRoche Avenue crossing, where he was struck shortly after 4 p.m. The media executive, who'd worked with major television and Internet companies, was pronounced dead at the scene soon after.
