NJ Man Who Scouted Landmarks As Terror Targets Gets 12 Years In Federal Prison
UPDATE: A convicted New Jersey “sleeper agent” for Hezbollah who scoped out potential terrorism targets in New York, Boston, Washington, D.C. and elsewhere was sentenced to 12 years in federal prison. Alexei Saab, a 45-year-old software developer who lived in Morristown, must serve just about all of the sentence delivered in Manhattan federal court on Tuesday, May 23, because there’s no parole in the federal prison system. Horse
A horse walks into Times Square.... and chases down a man accused of robbing a street vendor, NYPD body cam footage shows. In the video, Lewis takes one look at the horse, slowly turns and then bolts down W…

Judge Richard J. Sullivan said the punishment fit the “heinous crime” when he sentenced Akayed Ullah for the December 2017 attack in subway tunnels beneath Times Square and the bus terminal. Ullah, a 31-year-old Bangladeshi immigrant, began researching how to build a bomb about a year before the attack, federal authorities said. That morning, packed a homemade device with metal screws bef…

: 'This Medication Really Works, So There's A Hope,' Says New Jersey Coronavirus Patient
The New Jersey healthcare worker who was the state’s first coronavirus patient said clinical trial medicines probably saved his life. "After I received the first dose my fever went down," 32-year-old James Cai, who lives and works in Fort Lee and Manhattan, told CBS New York. "Those two medications I think slowed down my virus," Cai said without naming them. Cai was initially hit with diarrhea, chest pains and a fever despite having no underlying medical conditions. He was admitted to Hackensack University Medical Center March 2, and remains there in isolation. The physicians assistant g…
