Woman, 78, Struck By Pickup, Killed In South Jersey Crash: Police
An Egg Harbor Township woman was killed while crossing a road on Veterans Day, authorities said. Sharon Parker, 78, died in the crash on Monday, Nov. 11, the Egg Harbor Township Police Department said in a news release. Officers responded to Tilton Road near the intersection with Goldenrod Lane at around 5:59 p.m. Investigators said a 2015 Ford F-150 was traveling north on Tilton Road. Jersey Shore Man Tried To Rob Convenience Store, Person In Parking Lot: Police
An Ocean County man was accused of trying to rob a convenience store and someone in a parking lot, authorities said. Mark Stackhouse, 30, of Tuckerton, was arrested on Saturday, Apr. 6, the Egg Harbor Township Police Department said in a news release. He was charged with two counts of robbery. Officers responded to an armed robbery report at the 7-Eleven on Tilton Road at around 6:28 p.m. Stackhouse ran away from the 7-Eleven and went toward a nearby Wawa. A popular restaurant for travelers on their way to the Jersey Shore will soon stop serving customers after more than half a century. Tilton Inn in Egg Harbor Township announced it will be permanently closing in a Facebook post on Thursday, Mar. 14. The restaurant and bar sits on the corner of Tilton Road and Hingston Avenue. Body Found In South Jersey, Authorities Say
A body was found in Atlantic County on Sunday, authorities said. The suspicious death occurred about 4 p.m. in Egg Harbor Township, according to the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office. Police responded to Tilton Road where Egg Harbor Township Police found the body of a 45 year-old man from Egg Harbor, authorities said. The man's name had not been released. : Good Samaritans Rescue Woman Trapped In Overturned SUV
Numerous motorists rushed to an overturned SUV to rescue an injured South Jersey driver on Wednesday, authorities said. A 2000 Nissan X-terra drivne by Marleny Taborda, 64, Egg Harbor Township, was traveling east on the Black Horse Pike through a red light at the intersection of Tilton Road when her SUV collided with a 2020 Ram Pro-master van driven by Edwin Watts, 75, years of Somers Point, according to Egg Harbor Township police.
