Jersey Shore Contractor Failed To Build Home, Took $65K: Prosecutor
A Monmouth Beach man, who had previously been the owner of a residential construction company, has been sentenced to two years probation, authorities said.
The former contractor pleaded guilty to stealing thousands of dollars from a client who had hired him to build a single-family home in Ocean Township, according to Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago.
Mihkel Grunbaum, 49, was sentenced on Friday, Nov. 4. Grunbaum also was ordered to immediately pay $65,000 in restitution to the victim.

A teenager was taken into custody and charged with "an act of juvenile delinquency" for raping a senior citizen, authorities said.
If committed as an adult, the charges would be aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, burglary and theft, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Acting Chief Daniel Plumacker of the Sayreville Police Department.

Central Jersey Man Charged In Burglary Spree: Prosecutor
A 50-year-old man from Middlesex County has been charged with burglary, theft and criminal mischief in Somerset County, authorities said.
Gregory Q. Green, of Edison, was charged in the offenses on Oct. 12, according to Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald.
