A Paramus woman who’d threatened to kill a former lover broke into his Fort Lee condo with her new boyfriend and stabbed the man's dog, authorities said.
The owner told police he fled the Cumbermeade Road condominium after the couple called and threatened to shoot him just after midnight Tuesday, Capt. Edward Young said.

A Bergen County Regional SWAT team joined local officers during the Maple Avenue standoff, which ended when Osvaldo Salas-Kechichian, 44, was taken into custody shortly before 11 p.m. Sunday, nearly three hours after it began, Ridgefield Deputy Chief Robert Meurer said.

A Passaic County man and a companion tried to bribe a child sex assault victim and a witness with cash, tuition assistance – even a car -- to change their stories, authorities said.
Sergio Bernal, 33, of Passaic was originally charged with sex assaults on the underage victim at various residences in Passaic from October 2013 to August 2020, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said Thursday.

A Middlesex County man was intoxicated when he committed back-to-back assaults and made terroristic threats at a Morris County gas station, police said.
Michael Nilsen, 43, was seen banging on car windows at QuickChek on South Jefferson Road in Hanover on August 25, Police Chief Mark Roddy said in a release.
Nilsen, of Colonia, was found to be intoxicated, police said.
