Car Strikes Utility Pole In Central Jersey, Knocking Out Power In Rollover Crash: Firefighters Power was knocked out for some residents in a Marlboro Township neighborhood after a rollover crash during the morning commute, officials said. Firefighters responded to the wreck near the intersection of Tennent Road and Wooleytown Road at around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1, the Morganville Fire Department said in a Facebook post. When crews arrived, they found a car on its roof with airbags deployed. A utility pole was broken and wires were lying in the road. Motorcyclist Killed, Passenger Seriously Hurt In Jersey Shore Crash A 40-year-old motorcyclist from Central Jersey was killed and his passenger seriously hurt in a three-vehicle collision, authorities said.  The collision occurred on a rural road in Marlboro Township at about 3 p.m. on Saturday. Aug. 13, according to Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey. Fatal Crash Reported On Jersey Shore: Police A motorist was killed in a crash on the Jersey Shore, authorities said. The crash occurred about 6:30 a.m. on Route 18 southbound in Marlboro Township, police said. Route 18 South in the area of Tennent Road and Route 520 was shut down until about 10 a.m., according to Capt. Stephen Levy, a police department spokesman. The vehicle, a 2008 grey Honda Accord,  left the roadway and struck a large tree, Levy said.
