Atlantic City Man Sentenced For Killing Man In 2018 While Stealing SUV, Prosecutors Say
An Atlantic City man will spend three decades in prison for killing a Ventnor City man while trying to steal his SUV almost six years ago, authorities said. Angelo Delgado, 22, was sentenced on Thursday, Sept. 19 to 30 years in state prison, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release. A New Jersey man was among two drivers killed when an SUV struck a median and went airborne on I-95 in Maryland before crashing head-on into another truck late on Thursday afternoon. Baltimore's Dennis English, Jr., 45, and John Mastropietro, 64, of Oceanport, NJ, have been identified by Maryland State Police investigators as the two killed in a violent head-on crash in Abington on Thursday, June 8 that injured two others. A police department in Burlington County seeks the public's help identifying a person from two suspicious incidents in which the man approached young children, authorities said. Evesham police said they incidents occurred on Monday afternoon in the Ridings at Mayfair Development. A local swimming instructor with a prosthetic leg happened to be in the right place at the right time Tuesday, when a 68-year-old driver who couldn't swim accidentally sent his car into the Newark Bay in Bayonne. The British Swim School instructor and lifeguard -- 29-year-old Anthony Capuano -- went in after him. And the entire rescue was caught on tape.
