Motorcyclist, 45, Killed In Route 1 Crash: Police A 45-year-old motorcyclist from Essex County was killed in a crash on Route 1 in Edison, authorities said. Alexander Chong of Belleville was killed when he struck the rear of a vehicle stopped at a red light, Edison police said. He ended up under the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The crash occurred at about 8:15 p.m. on Sunday, July 28 northbound near Old Post Road North. South Jersey Teen Injured In Motorcycle Crash A Burlington County teen was injured when he crashed his motorcycle in Whiting, authorities said. Manchester Township police responded to the area of Lincoln Boulevard and McMahon Street at around noon on Sunday, Mar. 31, the department said in a news release.
