Three separate robberies are under investigation at the Rutgers University campus in New Brunswick, authorities said. According to a statement released by Rutgers Police Chief Kenneth Cop, the first incident occurred on Thursday, March 3, at approximately 1:04 a.m. on Hartwell Street near Hamilton Street. Cop said in this incident, the victims, who are affiliated with Rutgers University, reported that they were approached by four male perpetrators who brandished a single handgun and removed items of value. Police in Middlesex County are looking for the driver of a pickup truck who approached a woman with a handgun as she walked in New Brunswick overnight. The attempted abduction occurred about midnight on Easton Avenue near Wycoff Street, New Brunswick police said. The woman told police a red, four-door pickup pulled up next to her and the driver pointed a handgun while demanding that she get into his truck, according to police. The woman ran away safely. Authorities are investigating a hit-and-run crash in Central Jersey that resulted in the death of a 55-year-old man from Somerset County. Middlesex County is investing $25 million in a new Cancer Pavilion project set to open in about three years, officials announced. The state's first free-standing comprehensive cancer pavilion was detailed during a Wednesday video-call. The entire project is expected to cost $750 million.
