South Jersey Man Charged In Carjacking, Fatal Shooting: Prosecutor
A 32-year-old man from Pleasantville man has been charged in connection to the fatal shooting, authorities said.
Jermaine Wharton, 32, is charged with first-degree murder, first-degree carjacking and weapons offenses, according to Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Cary Shill.
On Monday at the Atlantic County Justice Facility, where Wharton is in custody on an unrelated matter, he was charged with the above offenses.
On Nov. 13, 2021, at 9:19 a.m., Pleasantville police received a Shot Spotter alert and 911 call in reference to a shooting at 914 N. Main St., Shill said.

Two Mega Millions lottery tickets worth $10,000 and $30,000 were sold in Monmouth and Atlantic counties.
Two tickets matching four of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball for the Friday, July 30 drawing were sold at Garden Pharmacy on Highway 33 in Neptune City and Circle Liquor Store on MacArthur Boulevard in Somers Point, New Jersey Lottery officials said.
The winning numbers were: 19, 26, 31, 52, and 68.
The Gold Mega Ball was 10, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 03.
