Edison Woman Seriously Injured After Struck By Speeding Car Sees Community Support Suchrita Kamath has a long road to recovery. The Edison woman was seriously injured after she was struck by a speeding car at a crosswalk on Saturday, Dec. 23. Kamath sustained a skull fracture, spinal fracture, internal bleeding, pelvic fracture, multiple collar bone fractures and other severe internal injuries and was unconscious for five days. She remains hospitalized.  Kamath has launched a fundraiser to assist her with overwhelming medical bills. As of Friday, Jan. 5, more than $108,000 has been raised.
