Nearly 300 Jobs Lost When South Brunswick Drug Company Closes A South Brunswick drug company will close in April after federal inspectors said it manufactured and distributed drugs in unsanitary conditions. The April 20 closure of PharMEDium's facility on Stults Road off Route 130 will result in the loss of 287 jobs, according to a notice by the state Department of Labor and Workforce Development. AmerisourceBergen, PharMEDium's parent company, said in a statement it is closing the facility "in light of the increased regulatory and commercial challenges, coupled with the difficulty of making progress on remediation and continued financial burden."
