An 18-year-old student was stabbed by a younger classmate Monday morning in Hackensack High School, authorities confirmed. The injured student was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening after being treated by school personnel around 8:15 a.m. Feb. 5, said Capt. Perth Amboy High School students staged a brief walkout and protest five days after an 11-year-old student was seriously hurt in a stabbing at a nearby middle school. A fifth-grade student was seriously hurt after being stabbed by another 11-year-old boy during a fight in Perth Amboy on Wednesday, officials said. A Barnegat High School student was stabbed during a bathroom fight early Friday, May 27, authorities said. The school was put in a shelter in place as officials worked to break up the fight at 7:48 a.m., Barnegat police said. The student treated for non-life threatening injuries and an edged weapon was recovered, authorities said.
