A water utility company based in Camden said it is pausing billing in the wake of a cyberattack on Thursday, Oct. 3.
American Water serves 2.8 million people in the Garden State, providing water to municipalities in Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Gloucester, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth Ocean, Salem, Somerset, Union and Warren counties.

Tornado Watch Shifts, Now Covers These Counties Across NJ, PA As Debby Creeps In
The National Weather Service has shifted its tornado watch across New Jersey and Pennsylvania as Hurricane Debby creeps in.
In New Jersey, the tornado watch is in effect through 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9 and covers Bergen, Essex, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union and Warren counties in North Jersey.
In Pennsylvania, the tornado watch is issued in Lehigh, Northampton, Carbon, Monroe, and Bucks counties.
The tornado threat for South Jersey has diminished since the initial watch was issued early Friday morning, which has since been canceled.

A wanted man and a teen were accused of having a defaced gun with a high-capacity magazine in Atlantic County, authorities said.
Russell Daniel, 27, of Atlantic City, and a 15-year-old were arrested at around 10:05 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, the Egg Harbor Township Police Department said in a news release on Monday, July 1. An officer stopped them for a motor vehicle violation on Black Horse Pike about a mile west of the interchange with the Garden State Parkway.

Coastal Flood Warning In Effect For Jersey Shore Due To Offshore Storm, Full Moon
Many parts of New Jersey are under a coastal flood warning with an offshore storm and a full moon expected to fuel high tides, forecasters said.
The National Weather Service issued the coastal flood warning in Atlantic, Burlington, Cape May, Middlesex, Monmouth, and Ocean counties at 6 a.m. on Monday, Mar. 25. The NWS said the warning would be in effect until 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Mar. 26.
A storm out in the Atlantic Ocean will increase offshore wind speeds and make waves larger, according to the NWS. That will combine with Monday night's full moon to create "widespread tidal flooding."

The National Weather Service has released snow totals from the latest winter storm.
In New Jersey, the most amount of snow from the Friday, Jan. 19 storm appears to have fallen in Hopewell Township (Cumberland County) and Mount Royal (Gloucester County), where 6.5 inches of snow were reported.
Atlantic County: Dorothy, a section of Weymouth, got 6.4 inches, the most amount of snow across Atlantic County. Six inches fell in Atlantic City, 5.6 in Mullica Township, 5.5 in Mays Landing, and on average, between 2 and 6 inches across the county.

Two truck drivers were killed in a collision at an intersection in Salem County, authorities said.
Ashley Knuth, 36, of Bridgeton, was driving a Chevrolet Silverado pickup towing a trailer westbound on Mannington-Yorktown Road in Mannington at 9:07 a.m., Thursday, July 27, according to a New Jersey State Police spokesman.
David Mitchell, 42, of Woodstown, was driving an International 920 truck north on Alloway-Woodstown Road (County Route 603), said the State Police spokesman, Sgt. Philip Curry.

Driver, 57, Killed In South Jersey Crash: Njsp
A 57-year-old driver from Gloucester County was killed in a collision at a Salem County intersection, authorities said.
Daniel Lehner, of Newfield, was driving a Chevrolet Express van west on Route 40 in Pilesgrove Township at 6:29 a.m. on Feb. 2 when his van collided with a Toyota Highlander traveling north on Route 646/Pointers Auburn Road, according to New Jersey State Police.
Lehner was killed in the collision, State Police said.
The driver of the Highlander, Cheryl Freels, 45, of Quinton, suffered serious injuries, police said.
The crash remains under investigation.
