They Had FOMO So They Had Kids — Now, They Regret It: Rutgers Study
FOMO: It's the fear of missing out and exactly what a group of now-regretful parents say pushed them to have children, a study by Rutgers University has found. The study found that one in every 14 parents in the United States, or about 7 percent, say they wouldn’t have children if they could do it over again, according to the study. Rates of parental regret are even higher in parts of Europe, such as Germany (8 percent) and Poland (13.6 percent), Rutgers University said in a release. Artichoke Basille's Newest NJ Location Holds Special Meaning To Franchise Owner
The pizzeria that's become known for topping its pies with smashed artichokes is opening another New Jersey location. Artichoke Basille's is coming to New Brunswick. According to its Facebook page, the pizzeria will be opening at 104 Easton Ave., a space previously occupied by Jimmy's Grill. Artichoke made its New Jersey debut in Hoboken in 2019. A Jersey City man serving a 30-year prison sentence for killing an elderly mugging victim in 2003 was released after state authorities re-examined the circumstances of his conviction. A Rutgers University doctoral student who was active in helping the Central Jersey community fractured her skull in a recent bicycle crash, friends say. Suzy Jung was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital on Saturday, July 15 after the crash, according to Chloe (ChungAh) Kim, of New Brunswick, who organized a GoFundMe. In addition to a cracked skull, Suzy suffered temporary short-term memory loss, slight deafness in her left ear, a constant headache, and nausea, Chloe wrote. Rutgers University Student Committed Suicide: Prosecutor
Authorities are investigating after the body of a male student was found on the Rutgers University Campus in Piscataway. The death was ruled a suicide, they said. There was no threat to the public and no foul play was suspected, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Chief Kenneth Cop of the Rutgers Police Department.
