Cherry Hill PD: Woman Made False Report That Man Impersonated Police, Pulled Her Over
A woman from Camden County filed a false report about a man impersonating police, pulling her over and trying to grab her neck, authorities said. Samantha M. Roman of Avon Road in Haddonfield was charged with making false statements, Cherry Hill police said on Monday. Last week, police in Cherry Hill said they were searching for a man who pulled the woman over, as reported here. The woman said she was pulled over on Aug. 16 about 1 p.m. on Route 38, police said last week. Fatal Pedestrian Crashes In Burlington, Middlesex Counties
First responders in Burlington and Middlesex counties were called to separate, serious pedestrian crashes early Friday, authorities said. About 6 a.m. on Route 38 in Lumberton, EMS crews were en route to a man lying in the roadway with "obvious fatal injuries," according to an initial unconfirmed report. Medics were recalled and a request was made for the Fire Police Strike Team on Route 38 at Eayrestown Road, reports said. New Grocery Stores Coming To NJ
German discount grocer Lidl plans to open its seventh and eighth stores in New Jersey later this month. A store in Howell will be located at 4250 Route 9. The other new store will be on Route 38 in Cherry Hill (Camden County). Both stores will open at 8 a.m. on Feb. 26. Lidl officials plan to celebrate the grand opening with music, giveaways and food specials. There are currently six Lidl locations in New Jersey, according to the grocery chain’s website, and more than 11,000 Lidl stores worldwide.
