Fatal Crash Reported On Jersey Shore: Police A motorist was killed in a crash on the Jersey Shore, authorities said. The crash occurred about 6:30 a.m. on Route 18 southbound in Marlboro Township, police said. Route 18 South in the area of Tennent Road and Route 520 was shut down until about 10 a.m., according to Capt. Stephen Levy, a police department spokesman. The vehicle, a 2008 grey Honda Accord,  left the roadway and struck a large tree, Levy said. Firefighters Douse Jersey Shore House Fire Firefighters quickly extinguished a blaze at a Central Jersey home, authorities said. The fire broke out at 11:11 p.m. Tuesday at 4 Sarah Court, according to Marlboro Township police. The fire was contained to the home's garage, and is suspected to be electrical in origin, police said. All of the family members were safely out of the residence when police arrived. The daughter was identified as Cynthia Lopez. Dogs Missing, Police Officer Hurt From Monmouth House Fire Two dogs remain missing from a home that suffered a serious fire on Thursday, authorities said. Police and fire officials have been unable to locate the family dogs -- either dead or alive. At 11:05 a.m., Marlboro Township Police Department received a 9-1-1 call from the homeowner at 33 Regina Road in the Morganville section of Marlboro, according to Capt. Stephen J.
