A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash in Manchester, authorities said. On Monday, Jan. 1, at approximately 2:10 pm, members of the Manchester Township Police responded to the area of Route 571 and Beacon Street for a two-vehicle crash. Officers observed a white 2010 Mercedes-Benz SUV facing west on Country Route 571 with rear-end damage. A 55-year-old Pennsylvania man was killed and another person was injured after their car crashed into a wall in Hillsborough on Friday, Dec. 29, authorities said. At 12:07 a.m., police responded to River Road near the Basilone Bridge and found Steve Christiano, of Upper Black Eddy, PA, unconscious and his female passenger with a severe leg injury after their vehicle struck a stone wall head-on, officers said. A 25-year-old man from Piscataway was fatally shot, authorities said. Isaiah Benbow was killed in Piscataway on Tuesday, Dec. 19, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Deputy Chief Michelle Pilch of the Piscataway Police Department. At approximately 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to Rock Avenue and West 4th Street for a shooting. Charges have yet to be filed against a 73-year-old driver who fatally struck a 77-year-old woman Sunday, Nov. 19 in Bridgewater Township, police said. Maria Zuniga was crossing Union Avenue near Finderne Avenue at 9:55 a.m. attempting to reach a bus stop when she was struck by a 2015 Honda CRV driven by a 73-year-old Somerville man heading east, Bridgewater Police Officer Cole Taggert said. A cemetery worker who fell into a grave was rescued in Central Jersey, authorities said. At 12:55 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, South Brunswick Police received a report of a man falling into a grave at the Holy Cross Cemetery, 840 Route 535. A 46-year-old dump truck driver from Passaic County was killed in a head-on collision with another dump truck in Central Jersey, authorities said.
