Jersey Shore Contractor Failed To Build Home, Took $65K: Prosecutor
A Monmouth Beach man, who had previously been the owner of a residential construction company, has been sentenced to two years probation, authorities said.
The former contractor pleaded guilty to stealing thousands of dollars from a client who had hired him to build a single-family home in Ocean Township, according to Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago.
Mihkel Grunbaum, 49, was sentenced on Friday, Nov. 4. Grunbaum also was ordered to immediately pay $65,000 in restitution to the victim.

A Monmouth County couple is facing charges after their dog allegedly acted aggressively toward a resident and prompted an officer to shoot the dog, authorities said (scroll for video).

Toddler Overdoses On Opioids, Jersey Shore Couple Charged With Endangering: Prosecutor
A Wall Township couple has been charged with endangerment after their toddler overdosed on suspected opioids in the family home, authorities said.
Sharek White, 46, and Alexis Mistretta, 37, were charged with one count of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, according to Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago.
