Potentially Rabid Raccoon Attacks Princeton University Student, Town Resident
Two people were attacked by a possibly rabid raccoon at and near Princeton University, authorities said.
While rabies is not uncommon in wild animals, "this one is concerning because it's so aggressive," said Princeton Animal Control Officer Jim Ferry. "This one has the rage-style rabies."
On Monday, Dec. 4, at approximately 8:40 p.m. near Dillon Gym on Princeton University Campus, a university student was attacked by a raccoon with suspected rabies, according to Princeton Township.
