19-Year-Old Man Charged With Attempted Murder In New Brunswick Shooting A 19-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder in a recent New Brunswick shooting, authorities said Thursday. Giovanni Hoyos-Jaimes, of New Brunswick, is accused of shooting a man at the Tov Manor Apartments on Phelps Avenue on Dec. 28 around 11:40 a.m., Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said in a joint release. The victim was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for treatment of several gunshot wounds, Ciccone said. Updated: First Responders Called To Apartment Complex Shooting In Middlesex County UPDATED: Authorities are investigating a shooting in Central Jersey. New Brunswick police responded to shots fired on Monday morning, according to initial reports, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Director Anthony A. Caputo of the New Brunswick Police Department  Police found a shooting victim at Toy Manor Apartments on Phelps Avenue, they said. Shootings have occurred several times this year at Toy Manor. Central Jersey Man, 27, Critically Shot A 27-year-old man from New Brunswick was critically injured by a gunshot, authorities said. The victim was shot outside the Tov Manor Apartments at 99 Phelps Ave. and Seaman Street, Middlesex County Acting Prosecutor Christopher L.C. Kuberiet and New Brunswick Police Department Director Anthony A. Caputo said in a statement. The shooting took place about 9 p.m. on Sunday, they said.
