A bold and bizarre Sicklerville package theft had a surprising twist when two suspects returned to the home twice after spotting themselves on a neighborhood app, authorities said. The suspects were caught on a Ring doorbell camera at around 6:36 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 9, the Gloucester Township Police Department said in a Facebook post on Wednesday, Dec. 18. Porch Pirates Busted In Central Jersey Package Theft Spree, Police Say
Two suspected porch pirates were caught in the act, following a series of package thefts in Highland Park, authorities said. The New Brunswick men were arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 20, the Highland Park Police Department said in a news release. Officers saw the unnamed duo stealing packages from homes on North Third Avenue and Highland Avenue. The first suspect, 40, was taken into custody on North Third Avenue. Teaneck police nabbed three porch pirates from the Bronx in a car packed with packages that had just been stolen from nearly a dozen homes in town, authorities said. Authorities: Released Porch Pirates Rob Bicyclist On Hackensack Street
Two men charged with stealing dozens of packages from residents' porches in several Bergen County towns robbed a bicyclist on a Hackensack street the same day they were released from custody, authorities said Wednesday. Rochelle Park police last Friday captured Kelvin Hernandez Brioso and Francisco Castillo Rodriguez, both 22 of Hackensack, following a string of package thefts. Spotting what had become a notorious white pickup truck, a Hackensack special police officer helped Rochelle Park detectives nab three accused porch pirates who they said snatched packages from residents in several Bergen County towns. : Porch Pirates Swipe Packages In Several Bergen County Towns
Police in several Bergen County towns were looking for a white pickup truck that victims in at least six towns say was involved in pirating packages from their porches. A Hasbrouck Heights resident said a thief stole a large box containing a chair that she and her husband bought for their children (see photos below). “It’s not even about the chair but more of a violation,” she said.
