A 35-year-old Ocean County man was charged with theft by deception for home contracting, authorities said.
On Thursday, June 23, Toms River Police Detective Robert O’Neill arrested and charged Robert Cohan, of Lakehurst, with theft as well as multiple counts of unregistered home improvement contracting, police said.

A 39-year-old man from Toms River, who was charged with attempted murder last month, has been ordered detained, authorities said.
On Tuesday, April 5, Superior Court Judge Michael T. Collins ordered that Jesse Rucci, shall remain detained in the Ocean County Jail pending trial, they said.

A 56-year-old man from Toms River has been found guilty of dealing heroin and cocaine, authorities said.
John Williams was found guilty Monday, March 21 following a jury trial of possession of heroin and cocaine with the intent to distribute both drugs, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer.
Williams was additionally found guilty of possessing cocaine, fentanyl and heroin, Billhimer said.
