Kyle Banner Sentenced A former Toms River teacher will spend time in prison after admitting to sending inappropriate Snapchat pictures to a student and posting sexual photos of himself in his classroom, authorities said. Kyle Banner, 49, of Brick Township, was sentenced on Friday, Mar. 22 to four months in Ocean County Jail, county prosecutor Bradley Billhimer announced in a news release. He was a teacher at Toms River Intermediate North (TRIN) and Ocean County College. Former Teacher Sexually Assaulted Girl Under 16 In Atlantic City: Prosecutor A Delaware man who was formerly a teacher has been sentenced to New Jersey state prison for sexually assaulting a student under 16 years old, authorities said. Thomas Herlihy, 37, of New Castle, Delaware, was sentenced Friday to seven years in a treatment facility for sex offenders, according to Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Cary Shill. Herlihy’s sentence is to be served at the Avenel facility because he was found to be a repetitive and compulsive sex offender, Shill said.
