Atlantic City Shootings, School Lockdowns End With Fighter's Arrest A shooting in Atlantic City Thursday that prompted lockdowns of schools resulted in one man's arrest, authorities said. Patrol officers responded to the 300 block of North Carolina Avenue for a ShotSpotter alert at 12:35 p.m., according to Atlantic City police. The victim, who is 27, sustained non-life threatening injuries after being shot near New York and Magellan avenues, police said. Trio Arrested Fleeing Atlantic City Armed Robbery, Loaded Handgun In Purse Two men and a woman from Camden were arrested while trying to leave Atlantic City after an armed robbery, authorities said. At 5:35 a.m. on Sunday, patrol officers responded to the beach block of New York Avenue for a report of a man robbed at gunpoint, according to Atlantic City police. During the robbery, the suspects pulled up to the victim in their car with one suspect pointing a handgun at the victim while another demanded his wallet and cell phone, police said. At 12:11 a.m. on Sunday, patrol officers were called to the 600 block of New York Avenue for a ShotSpotter alert, according to Lt. Kevin Fair, an Atlantic City Police Department spokesman.
