A convicted child porn collector from Atlantic City is headed back to federal prison for at least 10 years for doing it again, authorities said. Cory Newman, 46, previously served most of a 51-month sentence following a 2007 conviction on similar charges, records show. Homeland Security Investigations agents "discovered electronic devices containing numerous videos and images of children being sexually abused" during a raid of Newman's Pacific Avenue home in May 2021, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with the killing of an Ocean County resident in Asbury Park earlier this year, authorities said. Shakri A. Prince, 29, and Jaszhark A. Jersey Shore Man Stabbed Victim Dead During Fight: Prosecutor
A 32-year-old man from Neptune Township man has been charged with murder after stabbing another man dead during an argument, authorities said. Derrick Simms stabbed the victim, who was found unresponsive outside of a Squirrel Road home in Neptune around 5:45 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 7, Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey said. The body of a drowned swimmer was found off the Jersey Shore in Belmar after several others were rescued, authorities said.
