A former corrections officer in Leesburg will spend more than a year in prison after admitting to not stopping attacks against two inmates, authorities said. A Columbus, Ohio, man was convicted of killing another man at a Millville apartment complex, authorities said. No state troopers will face criminal charges after a Millville man died while in police custody, authorities said. A state grand jury voted to not file any charges related to the death of 30-year-old Daniel King, the state Office of the Attorney General said in a news release on Monday, Oct. 1. A nonprofit thrift store in Egg Harbor Township is recovering after it lost all of its merchandise in a fire on Monday, Jan. 15. Goodwill Industries of Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia said a suspicious fire broke out in the charity store on Black Horse Pike. No one was injured in the fire. State authorities filed a complaint Tuesday accusing the city of Millville of violating the law by discriminating against Spanish-speaking defendants.
