A 20-year-old man from Central Jersey has been sentenced to 17 years in New Jersey state prison in connection with a shooting, authorities said. U.S. Marshals Arrest 2nd Suspect In Fatal New Brunswick Shooting, Prosecutor Says
Two men have been arrested in connection with a shooting that left one man dead and another wounded, authorities said. On Nov. 7 at approximately 9:55 p.m., police responded Seaman Street and Remsen Avenue for a shooting. Police found located Rafael Florez-Lopez, 38, and another man with multiple gunshot wounds, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Director Anthony A. 8,100 Without Power In Central Jersey
Thousands of New Jersey residents were without power on Tuesday due to a fast-moving storm Monday night. The majority of the outages were reported by JCP&L in Monmouth County. As of 10:30 a.m., 8,197 people were in the dark, the company said. Most of those customers were in Atlantic Highlands (1,143), Manalapan (553) and Marlboro (1,507). There were 770 JCP&L customers in Middlesex County were without power while 333 PSE&G customers were also without power in the same area.

Had Your Fill Of Chick-fil-A? Not In Camden County
Chick-fil-A plans to open a new chicken joint in South Jersey next week, the chain announced. The fast-food chain will open the new restaurant at 301 White Horse Pike in Barrington, Camden County, on Tuesday. Last week, the popular fast-food chicken chain announced it was opening a new Chick-fil-A along Route 1 in Lawrenceville, Mercer County. The date for that opening had not been announced. New Jersey already has 50 Chick-fil-A restaurants. Last summer, the chain opened several new chicken joints in Middlesex County.

Prosecutor: Middlesex Man Stole $12K In Social Security Benefits
A 33-year-old man from Central Jersey stole about $12,000 in Social Security benefits by altering checks, authorities said. Alejandro Urgilez, 33, of East Brunswick was charged with theft by deception, forgery and uttering, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda and Chief Frank Losacco of the East Brunswick Police Department.
