Tesla Driver Killed In Fiery South Jersey Crash, Police Say A Tesla driver was killed in an early morning crash near Mays Landing, authorities said. Hamilton Township police responded to the single-car wreck on Mays Landing Somers Point Road near the intersection with Ocean Heights Avenue at around 1:35 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 18. Investigators said a 2024 Tesla SUV Model Y left the road, crashed into several trees, and caught fire. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Marylue Wigglesworth is accused of killing David Wiggelsworth, 57, who was found with a gunshot wound around 10:20 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 25, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said.
