All Eyes On Philly: More Than 100K Mail-In Ballots Left To Be Counted
Philadelphia officials were expected to give an update on the more than 100,000 mail-in ballots still being counted in the city Thursday morning. More than half of the mail-in ballots had been counted as of around 6 a.m., reports say -- and they were heavily in favor of Joe Biden, CBS reports. If the ballots come out in Biden's favor, that would put in ahead of U.S. President Donald Trump and gain him Pennsylvania's 20 electoral votes. People rallied across Philadelphia making pushing to have every vote counted. Gov. Tom Wolf acknowledged the process is slower than usual -- but that mean…

If Democrats Wrest Control Of US Senate, NJ's Menendez Lands Key Leadership Post
When the dust settles, and the fate of the U.S. Senate majority is decided, New Jersey's senior senator could land one of the top leadership posts. But it's likely to take days -- or even weeks -- to know the outcome as Senate races in Georgia and North Carolina remained too close to call on Wednesday. Bob Menendez, a U.S. senator since 2006, is widely considered the leading contender to become chairman of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee. But that's only if Democrats retake a majority of seats in the Senate -- which they lost control of six years ago. According to Politico and ot…

A programming error by an outside vendor sent some Teaneck voters ballots with the wrong candidates for the House of Representatives for the upcoming general election, according to a letter issued to residents Wednesday. "The Board of Elections has been made aware and alread…

State authorities on Thursday charged a sitting Paterson councilman, a councilman-elect and two other men with rigging a May 12 special election. Paterson City Councilman Michael Jackson and Councilman-Elect Alex Mendez conspired with Shelim Khalique of Wayne, and Abu Razyen of Prospect Park to play fast and loose with mail-in ballots made necessary for all voting in the special election due to the coronavirus pandemic, Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal said. It began, he said, when the U.S. Postal Inspection Service alerted the Attorney General’s Office that hundreds of mail-in ballots wer…
