NJ Ex-Con Featured On 'America's Most Wanted' Pleads Guilty In Deadly Stabbing
An Ocean County ex-convict and parolee once featured on the TV show "America's Most Wanted" admitted to his role in the stabbing death of a Seaside Heights man, authorities said. Angelo Grenci, 47, of Berkeley Township, pleaded guilty on Monday, Jan. 29 to aggravated manslaughter, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer announced on Tuesday, Jan. 30. Grenci was charged in the killing of 50-year-old Carlton Williams. Prosecutors will pursue a prison sentence of 25 years for Grenci. Ex-Con Featured On 'America's Most Wanted' Charged With Murder In Jersey Shore Stabbing
Charges have been upgraded to murder for an ex-convict from the Jersey Shore, after a stabbing victim died of brain injuries, authorities said. The suspect was once featured on "America's Most Wanted," wrote a book called "Inabsentia," and previously served at least nine years in New Jersey State Prison, according to earlier news accounts. Prosecutor: 50-Year-Old Man Critical After Jersey Shore Stabbing
Authorities are investigating a stabbing that critically injured an Ocean County man this weekend. A 50 year-old man from Berkeley Township was stabbed in the neck on Saturday evening and remains hospitalized, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer and Berkeley Township Police Chief Karin DiMichele said. The stabbing took place about 7 p.m. in teh Manitou Park section of town, they said. Police found the victim near Magnolia Avenue.
