Pair Arrested In Atlantic City Clothing Store Heist
Two South Jersey suspects were arrested in connection with a break-in at a clothing store in Atlantic City, authorities said. On Saturday, a man and woman were arrested after a police officer observed them burglarizing a store. At 7:43 a.m., Officer Thomas Gilardi was patrolling the area of the Tanger Outlets-The Walk when he saw Amanda Reynolds, 28, of Little Egg Harbor, pacing back and forth near the Abercrombie & Fitch store, according to Atlantic City police. Pair Nabbed In Stolen Car After Fleeing Atlantic City Police
A South Jersey pursuit of a stolen car led to the arrest of two fugitives with outstanding warrants, authorities said. On Sunday at 9:07 p.m., Atlantic City Police Officer Joseph Kelly tried to stop a car that had been reported stolen. After activating his emergency lights and siren, the driver, Jason Sandfort, sped away, police said. Prosecutor: Jersey Shore Trio's $30K Embezzlement From Lacey Veterans Group 'Truly Shameful'
Three former employees of a veterans organization in Ocean County stole at least $30,415 from the non-profit, authorities said. Jesse Violante, 33, of Tuckerton, Mary Anne Dileo, 67, of Manahawkin, and Gary Mclain, 33, of Little Egg Harbor, were each charged with theft by unlawful taking on Thursday, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. An ex-con who flicked cigarette ashes from a speeding car had a loaded gun hidden under the seat, Haledon police said. Officer Jeffrey Welsh smelled raw pot as he approached the 2005 Infiniti sedan during a stop on Pompton Road near Ailsa Avenue, Lt. George Guzman said. Joined by Special Police Sgt. A 26-year-old driver from Little Egg Harbor has been charged in connection with a head-on, three-car crash in late July, authorities said. Hunter Dyer was charged with two counts of "assault by auto" after turning himself on Thursday at the Stafford Township Police Headquarters, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. UPDATE: A Little Egg Harbor man who had been reported missing was found Thursday, authorities said. Authorities in New Jersey and Pennsylvania were trying to locate Alfonzo Rodriguez, of Little Egg Harbor, who had last been seen on Tuesday in the Philadelphia area, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. A black bear was spotted in a tree before wandering past a McDonalds in Stafford, authorities said. Police responded to reports of a bear sighted near the Manahawkin Regal Cinema at about 10:30 a.m. Friday, Stafford Township police said in a Facebook post. Authorities charged a 24-year-old Ocean County man on Tuesday with death by auto, DWI and speeding for a crash last month that killed a passenger. Jeydon Lowe of Barnegat was driving a Chevrolet Cobalt eastbound on Stafford Avenue near Hilliard Boulevard around 5:30 p.m. March 20 when he lost control of the speeding vehicle and it crashed into a tree, Stafford police said at the time. U.S. Marshals captured two Long Island fugitives charged with attempted murder in the shooting of a Jersey Shore man. Ademola Bostick, 24, of Bay Shore, and Rajah Mayo, 20, of Freeport, had driven to the shore intending to kill 23-year-old Charles Sortino, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Little Egg Harbor police turned to the public for help investigating a Friday night shooting. A victim was taken to nearby AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center following the shooting, which police said occurred sometime between 11:15 p.m. Friday and midnight in the 1000 block of Center Street.
