An Ocean County man was accused of strapping a fake explosive device to a utility pole near a synagogue, authorities said. Benjamin Gibber, 29, of Lakewood, was charged with third-degree creating a false public alarm. Lakewood police announced his arrest in a news release on Friday, Mar. 15. Timothy Hannold Dies At Ocean County Recycling Center
Services have been set for a father of two who was killed in a workplace incident at the Ocean County Northern Recycling Center. Timothy Hannold, 50, had entered a container being moved at the recycling center on Towbin Avenue on Wednesday, Jan. 31, Lakewood Police Capt. Greg Staffordsmith said in a statement. Workers unaware of Hannold's presence tried to "upright the dumpster," causing the doors to shift and pin Holland up against an inside wall, Staffordsmith said. An SUV blew through a stop sign and was struck by a school bus in Lakewood, authorities said. There were no children on the bus at the time of the crash. Homeless Man Found Dead In Lakewood
