22,000+ NJ Residents Without Power, Severe Thunderstorm Watch Remains In Effect
Thousands of New Jersey residents were without power after a round of powerful afternoon storms swept through the region.
The National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for much of the region through 11 p.m., and that comes after a round of quarter-sized hail and gusty winds.
As of 5:25 p.m., the following areas were without power:

'Forever Our Brother:' Nicholas Jarusiewicz Of Ocean County Dies, 32
Ocean County resident and Lowe’s sales manager Nicholas Jarusiewicz died at his home in Jackson Township on Friday, May 19. He was 32.
Born in Neptune, Nicholas lived in Jackson Township for the majority of his life, moving briefly to Missouri before coming back in 2017, his obituary says.
Nicholas worked as a sales manager for Lowe’s in Osage Beach, Missouri.
He was known for his love of racing quads, fishing, RC cars, shooting rifles and pistols, and other outdoor activities.

Laundry Room Sex Attack Triggers Wider Warning On Jersey Shore
A 26-year-old Lakewood man faces multiple charges after attacking a woman in an apartment laundry room, authorities said.
Malcolm Hamilton also was charged in a separate stalking incident, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer.
"We believe there may be additional unidentified victims, particularly in the Lakewood, Jackson and Howell Township area," Billhimer said.
