Lakewood Man Gets 6 Years State Prison For Fatal Hit-Run Crash
A 30-year-old man from Lakewood has been sentenced to six years in state prison for leaving the scene of a fatal crash, authorities said. Mashon Wilson was sentenced on Monday by Superior Court Judge Steven F. Nemeth based on a previously entered guilty plea to knowingly leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident resulting in death, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. A Lakewood man on Friday admit he fled the scene of a motor vehicle crash while driving with a suspended license, leaving the driver critically injured and killing the passenger, authorities said. Mashon Wilson, 30, pleaded guilty to knowingly leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident resulting in death and driving with a suspended license, in connection with the Nov. 25, 2018 incident, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. A 29-year-old suspended Lakewood driver fled the scene of a crash that killed a Baltimore man, alleges an indictment that also accuses two accomplices of lying for him.
