Slain Towson Student Was NJ Native Seeking Stardom
A 23-year-old Towson University student was shot and killed in an off-campus shooting overnight, school officials said. Ikemefuna Justin Eguh, an East Orange, New Jersey native, was found by police with a gunshot wound in the unit block of West Susquehanna Avenue around 2 a.m., authorities said. Known by his peers as Justin, Eguh was enrolled as a senior last semester majoring in exercise science. His friend, Brandon, told WJZ that Eguh was working toward being a star and was making music outside of school. Eguh promoted his music on Instagram, where he had 19.2K followers as of Tuesday.…

A New Jersey high school teacher and Gulf War veteran who is battling breast cancer is taking to social media to spread hope. Sandy Jessop, of Wall, served alongside her now-husband, Christian Jessop, during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004, then deployed again to Iraq in 2008. Instagram Threat To Paterson High School Investigated
Authorities confirmed Wednesday that Paterson police and school security officials were investigating an Instagram threat that they believe was directed at Eastside High School. A photo of a gun was accompanied by the threat: "Dont come to Eastside tomrw." Authorities initially didn't know which particular school the Tuesday post was intended for.
