A 23-year-old woman trying to capture a moment in Hoboken got one she'll never forget, thanks to half-a-dozen police officers who dove into the Hudson River to rescue her. The Berkley Heights woman was trying to get a better view of New York City while out with her friends and brother near Pier 13, when she climbed a railing and fell over around 3:30 a.m., Feb. 6, Hoboken police said. Police: Ocean County Assault Suspect, 22, Tries To Flee From Hoboken Hospital During Treatment
An Ocean County man was under police guard when he tried to escape from a Hoboken hospital following accusations of aggravated assault, authorities said. Jared Mullin, 22, is accused of assaulting a man who was found dazed, confused and lying on the ground with a large cut on his forehead near River Street and Hudson Place around 10 p.m. Sunday, Hoboken Police Detective/Lieutenant Danilo Cabrera said. : Port Authority Responders Make Second Save Of Month At Lincoln Tunnel
A team of Port Authority police officers and Tunnel and Bridge agents saved the life of a 52-year-old driver who had a medical episode near the Lincoln Tunnel – the second rescue of the month for three of the responders. PAPD Officer Police Officer Krystal Armenti responded to a report of a disabled vehicle at the end of the Kennedy Boulevard on-ramp shortly before 11 a.m. Sunday and found the driver unresponsive, Port Authority spokeswoman Lenis Rodrigues said. While some North Jersey municipalities and counties are bracing for a shutdown, others are reporting their very first coronavirus cases.
