Police ID Pedestrians Killed By Car In Toms River Two pedestrians were struck and killed by an 18-year-old driver while crossing a Toms River street on Tuesday night, Feb. 18, police said. A Toms River man was traveling north in a Toyota Corolla on Fischer Boulevard when he struck  72-year-old Craig Parson and 68-year-old Debra Wright, just before 7 p.m. near Hazelwood Road, Lt. Ron Sermarini said. Parson and Wright were crossing the roadway from east to west when they were hit, police said. A GoFundMe page has been set up to raise health-care money and other financial assistance for Alan Stever, 56, of Toms River. BMW Driver Arrested For Allegedly Assaulting 2 Pedestrians At Stop Sign, Ocean Prosecutor Says A 27-year-old motorist from Union County has been arrested in connection with a Fourth of July street fight in Toms River that allegedly left two pedestrians hurt near a stop sign, authorities said. A suspect in the alleged assaults turned himself into the Ocean County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. Raziel Mancebo of Scotch Plains had been charged with several assault charges on Monday in connection with a clash the day before, Billhimer said.
