A Barnegat woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Galloway Township, authorities said. Angeletta Sheppard, 33, died in the crash on Thursday, Sept. 12, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office said in a news release. Galloway Township police responded to the crash involving a pedestrian on Route 30 West near Seventh Avenue at around 7:54 p.m. The vehicle left the scene before officers arrived. An Atlantic County man was convicted of driving with a suspended license after he had at least two DUIs, authorities said. Thomas Fox III, 60, of Absecon, was found guilty by a jury on Tuesday, Apr. 9, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a new release. Pair Found With Defaced Gun After Galloway Vehicle Break-In: Police
Two men from South Jersey were arrested after they broke into someone's car and had a defaced gun, authorities said. Galloway Township police said they received a call from a potential theft victim at around 2:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 30. The man said he had checked his surveillance footage and saw someone broke into his vehicle at around 1:30 a.m. Officers began checking the area and noticed a Nissan Altima parked on Smithville Boulevard. An Egg Harbor City man who last week was charged with the sexual assault of a 10-year-old girl during a 1996 home invasion has been accused of doing the same to a 5-year-old girl, authorities announced Wednesday. Brian Lee Avis, 59, of Egg Harbor City, broke into a Willow Avenue home in Galloway on July 18, 2003 around 11:45 p.m., and quickly left, Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Cary Shill said. South Jersey Man, 33, Killed In Head-On School Bus Collision
A 33-year-old man from Galloway Township was killed in a head-on collision with a school bus, authorities said. Thomas Malinowski was driving north on Pitney Road when his vehicle struck a school bus hearing south near Quail High Boulevard and East Collins Road on Wednesday, Galloway police said. Malinowski’s Mitsubishi Outlander was pushed off the road into a wooded area, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
