A new Indian restaurant has replaced Bobby's Burger Palace at Freehold Raceway Mall. Royal Ganesha opened on April 4, according to the new owner, Harinder "Harry" Arora. It's next to The Cheesecake Factory on the mall's second level at the former burger joint, which closed about three years ago, It is the first restaurant for Arora, who is a chef. 'Smash-Grab' Jewelry Store Robbery Reported At Jersey Shore Mall (

A "smash and grab" robbery was reported at Freehold Raceway Mall, according to developing and unconfirmed reports. The robbery occurred at about 11 a.m. at a mall jewelry store off Route 9, reports said.The suspects, in a white Honda Accord with tinted windows, reportedly smashed a display case to make off with the jewels. A man threw cash down to shoppers at Freehold Raceway Mall this weekend while shouting "Happy Mother's Day," NJ Advance Media reported. A shopper told the news outlet that the unidentified man does this on holidays several times a year. His generosity caught shoppers by surprise at about 1:20 p.m. on Sunday, May 8 at the mall in Monmouth County. Ocean State Job Lot, a chain of discount stores, announced it is hiring new employees at a South Jersey store set to open by the end of the year. Ocean State Job Lot, with 146 stores across the Northeast, is preparing to open a new store in Princeton. The Princeton store is at the former Walmart at 101 Nassau Park Boulevard in Nassau Park Pavilion. : 12-Year-Old Central Jersey Girl Went Missing At Shopping Mall
Police say a missing 12-year-old girl who got on a bus after a shopping mall visit has been found. "The missing juvenile has been located and she is safe. Thank you to everyone for their assistance," Freehold Township police said on Facebook. Natalee Perez got on a bus at the Freehold Raceway Mall about 7 p.m. on Friday. She returned home safely on Tuesday, police said.
