UPDATE: An extremely tense situation ended safely when police in Montvale seized two underage Rockland brothers who they said threatened passengers on a commuter bus with a fake gun and fireworks. Paterson detectives nabbed four men while seizing a high-powered gun, heroin, Ecstasy, mushrooms and pot in a coordinated strike on a neighborhood controlled by the Trinitarios street gang, authorities said. Nearly 600 Guns Recovered From Monmouth County Prosecutor's Buyback Program
A combined total of nearly 600 firearms have been collected for destruction as the result of a pair of gun buybacks hosted by the Prosecutor’s Office and partner agencies over the last month, Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey said. Police in Brick Township are on the hunt for a gunman who fired three shots into a vehicle during what they are calling a road rage incident Saturday night. On Brick Boulevard, two white men in a red, newer model pickup with an extended cab continued to pass the victim and brake check him several times as they drove down Route 70 east, the victim told police. Maryland State Police have released harrowing details in the quadruple murder-suicide involving two young Pennsylvania girls, their father and his alleged accomplice. The manhunt for Robert Vicosa, 41, Tia Bynam, 35, and Vicosa's daughters, Giana, 7, and Aaminah, 6, came to a tragic end on Thursday around 2:30 p.m., MSP said in a news release. A convicted pedophile from Paterson was charged federally after his parole officers found large amounts of cash on his bed -- and a loaded gun under it, authorities said. A 31-year-old fugitive from Middlesex County has been arrested in connection with fatally shooting a man from Mercer County in the head during a robbery, authorities said. George A.
