His social profiles helped investigators identify a convicted armed robber as the gunman who they said held up a convenience store in Lodi and pistol-whipped a Chinese restaurant worker during another robbery in Elmwood Park. Michael Stuart, 48, used a revolver to rob a 7-Eleven on Route 46 in Lodi shortly before 2:30 a.m. on April 26, authorities charged. Filipino Government Attorney Shot Dead In Philadelphia Uber With Mom
A 36-year-old government attorney from the Philippines was shot in the head and killed during a trip to Philadelphia this weekend, the country's consulate general confirmed. John Albert Laylo was in the back of an Uber with his mom when nearly 15 shots were fired into the rear window and driver's side of the car at 38th and Spruce Streets around 4:10 a.m. Saturday, June 18, police said. A popular pretzel and water ice shop has closed after a half-century in business in South Jersey. South Jersey Pretzel & Water Ice announced it was closing on Facebook. “Thank you for over 50 years of support while we made the best soft pretzels and water ice anywhere. Confessed Fiancé Killer Portrayed Happy Relationship Online
The man who police say called 9-1-1 telling dispatchers he shot his fiancé portrayed a happy and loving relationship on social media. George Kuhn, 43, has been charged with murder in the June 12 death of 36-year-old Kristy Helmert on the 6400 block of Erdman Avenue in Baltimore, city police said. Kuhn contacted authorities around 9:30 that night saying he'd shot his fiancé, later identified by city police as Helmert. UPDATE: A Hackensack woman who'd been reported missing apparently is safe and not in any apparent danger, but police want to confirm her well-being in person.
