Gas Main Break Shuts River Road/Route 9 In Lakewood A gas main break closed a stretch of River Avenue/Route 9 early Tuesday, Oct. 22 in Lakewood. The NJDOT site shows it happened around 3:35 a.m. at Yale Drive. As of 7 a.m., all lanes were closed from Cross Street to James Street due to emergency construction.

Missing Manhole Cover Causes Delays On Route 1 Central Jersey Emergency construction and a missing manhole cover were causing delays on Route 1 in Middlesex County, authorities said. The problems were originally reported at about 9:30 a.m. Thursday,, March 16, by the New Jersey Department of Transportation.  At 3 p.m.Thursday, two right lanes of three lanes remained closed due to the roadwork, 511nj.org reported.
